On Saturday, October 5th, an eager group of NSAS members took to the sidewalks and trails of Downtown Dartmouth. NSAS Director at Large and Dartmouthite, David Jones, led the group on a historic tour of Dartmouth landmarks with great enthusiasm.
The group visited Saint James' United Church, the historic Shubenacadie Canal Greenway and former site of Starr Manufacturing, Sullivan's Pond, Lock 6 at Lake Banook, the Greenvale School and Irishtown, Christchurch Cemetery, and Blockhouse Hill. Suffice it to say that the group got their steps in for the day.
Thanks to all that attended and special thanks to David for showing us his hometown!
Stay tuned for more fun activities!
